Durham

After a very early flight to Newcastle this morning, we found ourselves in Durham by 9.45am. We were in need of a coffee and after dropping our bags at the hotel we wandered around the town and found a Costa. We then wandered all over the town (or is it a city?) and walked from one end to the other, passing all the university colleges and faculty buildings along the way. Just before lunch I suddenly realised that I no longer was carrying my handbag...I worked out that I had forgotten it in Costa earlier that morning! We quickly went back to Costa and sure enough, it was there - some kind person had handed it in to the staff. I was most relieved to get it back again as it had my purse, phone, drivers licence and diary in it. I blame my numpty moment of forgetfulness on being tired after the early start this  morning!

Luke then went off to his college to check in for the two days of activities for offer holders. We were delighted with his choice of college as it is well placed and close to the Modern Languages faculty. Gavin and I wandered around and went to see the library, stopping for tea on the way.

It was dull and raining lightly for most of the day, so not ideal to get any decent photos. I also am missing my full frame camera and could not get any images that I felt were wide enough for my liking.
