Burn O' Vat
This photo was taken at Burn O Vat on Deeside. It is one of my favourite places to go. During the last ice age the place was completely submerged under a glacier which had a meltwater whirlpool at its base that carved out a hollow in the rocks underneath, which produced Burn O Vat. The place is a hollow sphere in the rock roughly 20meters wide accessed by squeezing between some rock walls and overhanging boulders and up a mini waterfall series. Though it is definitely worth some wet shoes to see this place. This is the waterfall found at the far side. You can climb up beside it and continue up the valley following a wee broke, which is a lovely walk.
Afterward the walk it was back into town to do some shopping with Lucy and Louise (my awesome flatmates) where I spent way to much money but got some lovely summer dresses to celebrate the gorgeous weather. Then in the evening Hannah cooked me dinner of a lovely sausage casserole. A great day in all!
