OLD HOUSE IN MY VILLAGE.

This house is very old - it has been done up but is strange inside - one room doesn;'t have any windows, - it has a stone pantry or cold room.   When we first came to Point a friend of mine lived in it for quite a few months till their home in Dunedin sold.   The man that owned it then lived in Dunedin and was one of the bigwigs when the Woollen Mills in Dunedin went into receivership.   Quite a few of the management were transferred up here to the Alliance Mill here and he rented the house to two families that had been brought up here with us.
The house had been a small factory before that (with the same guy living in it) and made overalls.   It was a really weird feeling in the house and my friend didn't like being there on her own when her husband was travelling for work.   However it looks good - a new fence across the front and a new coat of paint and has only been sold twice in the time I have lived here so can't be too bad.
