Pond Life

This pond has been the subject of much acrimonious arguments in our household.

Started over a year ago by my partner who resisted all attempts to persuade him to bring in some outside help it is now almost complete.


It started off with a grandiose design project of two waterfalls feeding into the main pond along with bog garden lilies and heaven knows what.

Well, the waterfalls have been abandoned though officially they are "on hold" (over my dead body!) and it's almost complete which is just as well.

Two weeks today we open our garden, along with others in Bridge of Allan, to the public for charity.

Folk are not wanting to pay money to see a hole in the ground I have been repeating, like a mantra, all year, only to get the reply: "Well, it is a work in progress."
