Hole No 1

This is the sight that greeted me on the first hole at Culverden.

Wow, it is dry. Hard and fast!

I was playing in the Hanmer Springs team in the Templeton Cup competition.

For the record our team halved its match with Hawarden and I also halved my match.

I played only very average really, but match play is fun.

Guess who sliced the ball out of bounds to the right on this hole.

Yep, dopey me, but my opponent did likewise and I won the hole! Lucky!

Today also, my tennis team lost the competition final 2-4 after losing both doubles matches in 3rd set tiebreakers. Oh so close!

We have 5 in our team and rolled out our big guns for the final so I wasn't required for tennis today.
