Sandbanks and fogbanks...

Headed down the coast to North Berwick - in the opposite direction of all the marathon disruption (well done if you completed it btw!).

It looked like half of the east coast had the same idea, but as we approached, it was clear that the fogbank had yet to burn off at the beach, and it was cool to say the least!

We sat and then wandered, and as we did, the fog rolled and swirled, some of it burning off in places, but then it gathered out at sea, and also started to roll along the shore, close to the ground. It was pretty amazing to watch actually.

This pic doesn't really do it justice, but I was quite taken with this guy, striding out. If you look you can see the mist around his feet, a break, and then another bank out at sea behind him.

Still needed plenty of factor 30 though, and it was brilliant to see everyone out having fun on the beach. We also got treated to a spectacular bi-plane flypast, complete with several loop-the-loops, over the harbour-front. Reckon he must have been from the nearby Museum of Flight?
