Blessingway

What a wonderful day. My friends organised a mothers blessing for me as a surprise. If you've never heard of one before, think baby shower with more hippy ideals, no commercialisation and the focus being on surrounding the mum to be with positivity, love and support rather than showering with gifts. it was just perfect. There was sushi in abundance (yum), a shared buffet with copious amounts of wonderful cakes and goodies. We bound our wrists with red wool in solidarity, and I was given a special collection of beads to remind me of each friend and their kind words/stories. We had our nails done (such luxury when you can't reach your own toes!) and I had my bump hennaed. Best of all was spending quality time with some great girls and not being constantly interrupted by small people! Thanks to all who made it happen x
