The definition of optimism

You have to love these two lads, who were hanging out at the Belfast St Patrick's Day concert, offering their, ahem, affections to anyone who was interested. 

I also quite like that one of them is throwing kisses into the bargain, while the other will only go as far as hugs. Or maybe it's just that he couldn't find a big enough piece of cardboard to advertise his full range of services.

I have to admit, though, that in the time I was there the only people I saw them hugging was each other. Still, they didn't seem to mind, and they entertained the crowd more than Louis Walsh's new boyband managed to.

So Happy St Patrick's Day. Let's hope we're all wishing each other Happy Easter, Happy Christmas, Happy New Year, and so on and so on...
