More Belfast

Our last day exploring in Belfast.
We began our day with a drive around the areas where the murals are painted on houses and walls. The paintings are really amazing - the artists must be very gifted.
We then went to the Titan Exhibition. It's housed in an amazing building down by the riverside in the dock area. The exhibition is excellent - so well presented and so thought provoking. Next to the Titanic Exhibition is a ship called The Nomadic - the last white star boat surviving. It was designed originally as a tender boat for the Titanic but has had a very mixed history since then. A very interesting ship to explore.
Then we went to Crumlin Road Jail - closed as a prison in 1996 it was the former 'home' of a huge mix of criminals. It was quite an eerie place to be shown around - especially the 'hanging cell'!!!
A small ride around the countryside before we returned to the airport. It's been a brilliant 3 day break.
