Haweswater

Fabulous short day out around Haweswater with a good friend today. The sun threatened to come out a couple of times - but the feature of the day was how very very still it was - I can't remember the last time I felt that little wind in the mountains.
Sadly that meant that there was no Golden Eagle on view today - and the presence of pooch meant that whilst she was super excited we didn't see the stags - but pretty much from driving into Mardale you were going to be getting a Blip of the reflections today - Haweswater (above) looked fabulous, Blea Water was eerily still & Small Water made a very very valiant effort to nudge into first choice with its fantastic reflections of Harter Fell - but in the end the reflections of The Rigg, Kidsty Howes & Whelter Crag just pipped it to the post!
