Highdown Gardens

After taking My parents to do their grocery shopping we collected my Auntie and we all went off for lunch at Highdown Café.
We had a stroll around these beautiful gardens which were made by Sir Frederick Stern from a barren chalk pit. It is thought to be the first large garden built on pure chalk!
A year after he died in 1968 his wife gave the gardens to Worthing Borough Council for the public to enjoy.
The entrance is free!
