Leaf beetle

"Look, we found a grasshopper!"

"Umm, I think that's a beetle, not a grasshopper"

"Oh, in that case it's a leaf beetle! Because it looks like a leaf"

Forest schools day again. And another amazing day weather wise and the children had a great time. We played some team games to start and then the children lead their own learning. Some carrying on with den building and fairy house making from last week and others trying out something new, like yarn bombing and stick collecting.
We seemed to walk back to school in record time too! Must have been the gingerbread biscuits and hot choc that gave us some energy for the walk back!
