being part of this community in zambia with it's constant stream of volunteers and visitors means that there are more than average levels of 'hellos and goodbyes'. it feels like every week sometimes..... somebody arrives and somebody leaves.

but mostly there are a standard group of long-termers who are constant.

which is why it was so sad to say goodbye today to ingrid and torben from kaniki. people like this, who were here long before i arrived and have been such a help to me and many others, will be more than sadly missed. they are leaving a great big hole behind....

and torben, if you are reading this, ever, then i'm encouraging you once again to start a blip journal!
