Day out

Alex got back from Hull by lunchtime so we commenced most of the plans I'd set down for the day.
Unfortunately the couple of hotels I'd earmarked to be our home for the night booked before I had a chance to, so we just had to settle for a day trip!
We had a meander around the shops at a very leisurely pace & afternoon snacked at an amazing cheese toasty place.
I was gifted a bottle of the most excitable beer - pretzel, raspberry & chocolate!!! At £13, I feel like I can't open it without him, so I will save it until we are next together so that he can at least try it.
We ate at a new place in the NQ & despite lazy service, it was enjoyable.
Alex was ready to leave by about 8pm. It was unfortunate but tiredness easily gets the better of him lately & I wasn't going to force him to stay out when I could see he was beat.
We had a few drinks back in Uppermill & succumbed to a bad (good!) Chinese- chips & curry.
We had a fun day together, I enjoyed his company & closeness.
