pinnacular
One of the pictures I have from when-I-still-lived-down-here Praktica BX-20 days of Tattershall Castle was of a big old iron ceiling-dangling candle-holder, locked away in one of the wee turretty rooms. There was such a thing dangling from one of the ceilings with pseudocandles in it today, so I'll have to try and dig out the old photo to see if it's possibly the same thing. It was slightly misty but the few things breaking up the flat horizons (Lincoln Cathedral, the sugar factory at Bardney and the water tower at Billinghay) were all duly pointed out. He eventually overcame his shyness and had a go at the spinning demonstration. His brother refused to go to sleep so did a bit of wailing, but otherwise appeared to be listening as I hoicked him about telling him things.
