Male Shoveler

This is called giving someone the eye-the 'Goldeneye' isn't he magnificent? He's also up for any 'shovelling' job you have around your garden with that huge beak! Saying all of that he saw me with my lens trained on and he did a quick about turn, his wife who also has that beak, but without the colourful feathers was far more friendly! (Isn't that always the case in the bird world?)
The fabled Swamphen came out for a quick turn and so you will see her soon.
