Autumn morning

We haven't had much autumnal weather yet, but when I went for my run down by the Yarra early this morning, there was a little mist lying on the surrounding fields (none on the river itself though) and when the sun rose above the trees, it was quite lovely for a few minutes. Hard for my phone camera to capture the subtleties of light and shade though. What I need is a very small camera, with a very large sensor and a very long lens (to capture the birds and roos I see on my runs, but which my phone is rubbish at)... without a big price tag. I doubt there is such a thing!
