Take 6 and 7

Just before lunch I did a rub join on the back. The tutor commented that using the straight edge each piece was dished, but when they were put together it felt like there was a lump in the middle.
About 4 hours later we looked at it and it was not a good join. Armed with a knife it was possible to separate the two pieces and apart from two minute areas the edges were as fresh as before they had been glued.
The tutor decided to quickly take on take 7 and to do a clamp joint.
Will find out tomorrow afternoon if take 8 will be needed.
He says sometimes it's just like that.
