The beginning of the end?

I ventured through the fields and into the woods with Riley today because a lot of snow has melted.  However, I still ended up almost to my knees in the snow that remains, where it had drifted.  By Friday there may be another 2 or 3 inches of fresh snow.  

The wind was strong and gusty today.
