Ready for my close up

Took delivery of a new lens today, and immediately started annoying the kids by shoving my camera in their faces everywhere they went :)

It's my first prime lens, so it will take a bit of getting used to, but I'm already loving it. Feels kinda old school, and that's a good thing. 

Now, the kettle's on and I'm off to try and fathom out how to shoot an eclipse :)
