Long time away

Back again. Did anyone notice I'd gone?

I feel the urge to start recording my life again and the events thereof. I am somewhat disappointed that it's taken me until March to do this, but perhaps because I just passed my 49th birthday this month and because I've been quite ill for part of this year, I feel the urge to start blipping again.

I've missed seeing what Angeline and Fluffikens and quite a few others have been up to.

I love going home by ferry. I get my own cabin with a berth all to myself. The mobile phone no longer picks up a signal. There's no internet. It's as much isolation as you can find now on this planet. And it's wonderful to feel so unintruded upon. I guess that says a lot about the imposition of technology - although there's no doubt it's revolutionised our lives hugely for good, at the same time it pushes into our private space all the time which is not really too helathy.

So here I am back again. Let's see how long I go for this year.
