The Learning Curve

I'm trying out a new camera which up to this point has failed to impress me.  This macro shot took a lot more effort to get than it should have.  I'm willing to concede that It could be my inability to operate the &*%^ thing that's causing the problem, so there's some research to be done here. My daughter, who also has one of these new cameras, and I are going to spend the weekend taking pictures and determining once and for all if we can understand and outsmart the cameras, or we should just give up and take up tennis instead.
