Partial Eclipse of the Sun

I didn't have a pair of smoked eye glasses, nor a suitable colander, so my experience of seeing the partial eclipse today has come via the BBC Stargazing Live programme. I did, however, experience the eerie darkness that came with the eclipse and the way the sky turned an almost a sulphur yellow colour. The birds must have been confused as well as they stopped signing.
