Heath Robinson wants his binoculars back

Sunny Dunny lived up to its name today, with blue skies for eclipse-viewing.

Unfortunately it also lived up to its reputation as the windiest place on Earth* so the various bits of cardboard and paper got blown about like mad and the image was more than a bit wobbly.  Luckily Mo was there to step in as my official Beautiful Assistant.  

At this point, the shadow is getting smaller (and not, as I'd thought, bigger) so I missed the most dramatic bit.  I think I'd expected it to get darker than it did, to be honest. 

A shame the kids are in school this morning - I think they'd have enjoyed it.
