Bring it on!

Mixed emotions today. 

The dawn was really bright but the cloud rolled in as if on cue. It was probably the best thing that could have happened. You only want clear skies when you're in the path of totality in order to capture the wonder of the corona. If, like us, you're stuck with about 97%, a little shade to take the edge off is just the thing.

We learned a valuable lesson about pin-hole projectors too. I always thought that the hole needed to be really small, but the results people were getting with colanders, even digestive biscuits, now showing on Huffington Post are just stunning. 

My Mylar specs worked as well. 

All in all, well worth waking up in the morning for.
