My Life Is Not Average

Begging for the cloud to lift

God sometimes has a way of giving us what we really want, even when it's completely different to what we ask for. I was begging for God to lift the thick cloud cover over Glasgow this morning, so that I could see the eclipse. He didn't; but at 9.30am I miserably stared at where I thought the sun was meant to be, and the cloud thinned just enough for me to see the eclipse at almost its maximum! The cloud cover diffused the light from the sun enough that I could enjoy the spectacle with my own eyes, and point my camera at it without any filters too. At one point, it got too bright to look at so I was able to see a basic pinhole projection before the cloud rolled in again as well.
If God had given me what I asked for, I wouldn't have been able to get photos like this one, but would have been restricted to watching my pinhole projection!
