Eclipse, 8.58

My hens went to roost. The robin went into full evensong mode. The birdsong filling the garden changed quality, and quieted, eventually stopping altogether. I heard an owl. The atmosphere went chilly, and the buzzard started his evening hunt.

Very eerie, and quite wonderful.
I'm so glad I was able to witness this! The photos are a bonus and as usual when I'm trying to document the wonders of the natural world, do not even begin to do the experience justice. But they're a nice reminder :0)
