Spring flowers in front of the war memorial.

A gloomy day, so no sign of the eclipse in Surrey, the sky just turned a little darker!  A trip into Guildford is never complete without a walk through the castle gardens, they are always kept so well. I choose the war memorial as a backdrop for a colourful collection of spring flowers. The memorial was built in 1921 and recorded those that gave their lives from Guildford. After WW2 more names were added to the memorial. What a terrible waste!
