watching the eclipse

The second celestial event worked out fine even though the forecast last night didn't look that promising. This morning I hurried the boys to school and continued on to the camera obscura. Seeing the eclipse through the camera obscura was very cool, although taking photos was quite difficult. Outside on the roof they had a various implements for watching the eclipse including glasses, various pin hole cameras and a colander. I had a wander through the camera obscura which is well worth a visit. 

I noticed that the you can get in Princes St Gardens from the Castle Esplanade again. Wandered around the Gardens for a bit and found myself in the National Gallery of Scotland on the Mound. Fantastic David Roberts exhibition.

Ended up on Calton Hill again before heading back to work. A good day....
