Muttley's Musings

Eclipse

Well here is my take on the momentous partial eclipse of the sun today.

The weather gods smiled on us today after several days of grey cloudy and misty days, the skies were largely clear so that we could see the sun. Even though I was at work I had enough hours in the bank so I could pop out and watch the celestial events unfold. Initially there was a slight veil of cloud across the sun which took some of the glare off and I could see a sun spot on one of my first photos .

We were mesmerised by the passing of the moon and sun, and finally we got to see the 'smiley' face of the sun at approximately 90% totality.

We heard from our colleagues in the office in Farnborough who said that they had a lot of cloud so didn't really see anything.

I'm off to the first day of the Photography Show tomorrow, so I wonder what toys I'll get to see and play with and what I might come home with....

Some music for the day's events
