David Hockney Exhibition

Some of the children at school have been studying the life, works and techniques of David Hockney in their art sessions - especially his recent work using iPads and iPhones. We have tried to create our own pictures in his style, using his techniques and iPads.

Today we visited his new exhibition at Salts Mill, Saltaire. What a fabulous experience for the children to see his original works. They were all so engrossed and interested - it was brilliant to be part of. It's well worth a visit if you can get there.

The children came back buzzing and full of ideas of how to improve their own work.

We also managed to watch the eclipse thanks to tinted coach windows and a thin covering of cloud.
