Glimpses of the eclipse

It was very cloudy until 9.45 - no sun visible at all.Then there were a few brief breaks during which the eclipse could be seen. These two shots, taken just 11 minutes apart with the same camera settings, show how quickly the moon's shadow was moving across the sun. Not shot as mono - that was entirely  due to natural 'shades of grey.'
