Nest building

Moved into our new place yesterday, now that the youngsters have finally left. There' s still a lot to of fixing-up be done, and the situation is kind of exposed, not as leafy as in the brochure. BUT we do have our own island, so it's not on the main drag. Haven't met our neighbours yet, the house next door seems empty. If you're over this way, please drop in: after all the effort of the move, I know I'll need to sit down for a while.

PS The eclipse was amazing! They said we had the best views here in the South West. We saw human beings staring through metal colanders, and some others wearing them on their heads. Were they wondering if they'd be struck by the moon? Later, the sun returned and it was actually warm, like really warm. Of course I couldn't go out, because there's so much to do, so many twigs to pick up and replace, so many feathers....
