waxing or waning ...

is it waxing or waning - coming or going ...
                        morning or night

The birds, particularly the blackbirds were confused this morning, one minute the morning song and the next ... the evensong, singing their hearts out they were. Like a lot of people I was fortunate and managed to see and photograph  the whole sequence of the eclipse. I was quite pleased with the results as well, it was funny how it got darker and so much colder as the sun got covered. And then it was all over.
I decided the starlings were to be the chosen ones today - not the eclipse...
You can just imagine this pair can't you, a bit distracted from the food because they aren't too sure if they should actually be getting up or going to bed so maybe the caption should be 'that was the day, that was' ....
