Quiet time

On my first trip up to NJ after the funeral, I brought a suitcase full of clothes and toiletries to leave there, since I will be heading up there every other week. I snuck a knitting project into the bag too, and in the evening while my mother-in-law and I watch tv, I knit a little.

The pattern for this purse is called "Quinn." The top band is knit flat, then grafted together into a continuous round. You then pick up 144 stitches around the edge and knit the body of the bag in the round.

This week, I finished the final two repeats on the top band, grafted it together, picked up the stitches, and knit one repeat on the body. This is what it looks like at this point!
