We escaped to Sheffield Park as I was beginning to get more and more agitated with the escalating noise from next door. It took me a awhile to unwind after listening to them all morning but eventually my mind was taken off them as we set about making the most of some family time.
I was shocked at how busy the park was when we arrived. But the park is so large you can still find some space and wonder by the lakes in relative peace. Elodie was in good form and full of beans. I was desperate for her to have a snooze just so we could sit down and take it all in. Elodie though had other ideas well for the first few hours and then finally she sucumbed to a power nap and I grabbed the chance of a lie down. It was good to have a chance to relax. Our spot was so peaceful that even two ducks joined us with one coming to sit and snooze right next to my legs!
A leisurely walk,dinner out,a happy little girl,good weather,these things make me happy. We just need to find a place to move to so we can be calm and happy at home too.
