The Eclipse

You needed a good bit of fortune on the west coast to get any sight of this spectacle. I stopped at the road side at Strollamus at the prescribed time. At this point a veil of cloud presented a camera friendly opportunity and I managed this shot. Before this there was a thick bank of black cloud and thereafter a totally unmasked and searing light that was impossible (and foolish to even attempt) to look at.

I'll try and get a better shot of it  tomorrow.
