Prime Meridian of the World
Today i went to London to submit my visa application documents for Dublin. I am hoping to be able to present my poster in a conference there on May. There was no fuss with an application for an Irish visa. You get there, take a number and have a seat. The place is quite small and could probably sit 50 applicants. No chaos amongst applicants unlike when applying for a Schengen Visa where a lot of people, mostly Asians, seem to be very upset about not getting their documents right. The most awkward thing that happened when i got to the Irish Visa Centre was when i heard this old lady went to the counter and told the visa officer about her problem with a relative's passport. Her nephew's or niece's passport was stolen yesterday in (wait for it....) Manila! What a shame. I heard this as soon as i sat on my seat. Gosh what a bummer!
After spending about 30mins at the application centre. I went to Greenwich to spend the rest of the afternoon while waiting for my bus. Greenwich is such a nice lovely place. I decided to finally visit the Royal Observatory and had my photo taken at the line dividing the eastern and western hemisphere of the world. Pretty cool!
