Festival of Britain

I have been doing some research about the estate in Hackney where I live. The architecht, Frederick Gibberd, went on to design Harlow New Town, London Central Mosque, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral etc. And won an award for design ecellance at the Festival of Brtain in 1951.  This is the plaque to commemorate the award which I have just spotted.
There's a mural on the estate that we're hoping to restore.

The London Mural Preservation Society have been very helpful with ideas about how to proceed, and say we need to try and identify the painter - anyone with ideas about how to do this, please get in touch.
