Seeing through the trees for the wood

Great day at work, was able to sign off the trainee mentor I've been supervising (along with having a student of my own). I love being a mentor, seeing learners have light-bulb moments :)

Even got out for a walk after my shift finished with the added bonus of getting a couple of hours time owing back.

This little copse of trees has taken a beating over the winter, lots of old Scots Pines blown down. Even so, when the sun is shining just right it's a lovely wee place.

The hubby on nights for the next 4 but will be able to get some decent sleep (no snoring).

Going next door this evening to catch up with my neighbour, she's been through a hellish separation from a very nasty man (that's nasty to me too). The house ended up being in a bad state of disrepair but she's not had a couple of men in doing wonders transforming the place into a home. 

Oh and when out for my walk heard and saw lots of lapwings doing their dance, so looking forward to the dive-bombing once the chicks arrive lol
