Gazing proudly into the distance outside Hallgrímskirkja church is a statue of the Icelandic Viking Leifur Eiríksson, regarded as the first European to stumble across America. The tourist underneath the umbrella is anonymous. It´s a must do for tourists in Reykjavík to see Leifur Eiríksson, rain or shine.
