As Amos emerged into a house which was a bit more organised than it was two weeks after we moved into it it was never as necessary to enclose him at the safe end of the room as it was with Edgar, though the pen has been sitting there with the door open and mostly Amos-compatible things inside just in case he needs to be kept locationally curtailed for a short time, particularly in the mornings when he would otherwise almost certainly try to climb the wrong thing at the wrong time.
