boys trip challenging [some] stereotypes

Us boys stayed the night at one of the guys' boss's place and before we left we actually cleaned - although it did take a while to get the vacuum cleaner going. The night before had been very un-kiwi-bloke - we made pizzas from scratch thanks to Pete's excellent dough making skills and then we didn't watch the rugby.

Next morning we were up pretty early and then out riding. This shot isn't so interesting, but it was the only one I was to take that day before slamming into a mature pine tree and ending up in an ambulance to the Wanaka medical centre followed by a trip to Dunstan Hospital for an overnight stay. Multiple broken ribs, a good dose of nitrous and morphine.

Was lucky not to hit my head and to have such a good bunch of supporters on hand to look after me, carry the stretcher back to the ambulance and keep me in good spirits.
