Reveille
A morning blip for a change, with bright sunshine instead of yesterday's soggy gray.
These cheerful local daffodils are for my Blip friend Memories4Me, who has had nothing but deep snow to gaze upon for months. That hasn't stopped her from posting fascinating blips, such as this one about tapping maple trees for their sap, which is boiled down to make delicious maple syrup, or this one about her visit to a living history museum, where she experienced a Maine winter of 1853 firsthand. She has a fine eye for beauty in simple things, such as this natural ice sculpture outside her window, and combines her interest in genealogy with making art, as seen here -- isn't that beautiful?
To me, this is what Blipfoto is really about -- finding kindred spirits all over the world, folks I never would have met otherwise, and gradually, as we get to know one another through our images and words, building friendships. Just imagine how different the world could be if everyone blipped!
(P.S. Don't miss Phil's balancing hummingbird!)
