RUBBISH!

Today I am going to be a ‘ranting little collie’?!!

It’s been a beautiful day here in sunny Cornwall so Ann said she would take me out for the afternoon.  We went to ‘Tehidy Woods’, we went to look at the 'daffodil fields' and we went along the 'North Cliff'.  We’ve had a lovely long walk.

And if you don’t want to read our ‘rantings’ click onto someone else now!

BUT………………  what has made us really mad is…………….. just look at all this rubbish (bottom right photo) that someone has thrown down the cliff.  Obviously I had to scramble down there because I thought there might be a few tasty treats that had been discarded.  We understand the whole concept that when you take rubbish to the tip you might have to pay.  We understand that some people can’t afford to buy a wheelie bin.

What we don’t understand………………….. is why people do this?

To get to this particular spot, which is at least a couple of miles from the nearest village, one would have to drive down a very lumpy, bumpy track.  And if humans are going to the trouble of doing that (& probably damaging the suspension of their vehicle in the process) then why don’t they just stop off at the nearest town and put all of their rubbish into the big public rubbish bins that are all over Cornwall???

There were only a couple of larger items that had been thrown down here.  The rest just looked liked a couple of black bin bags had been chucked over the cliff edge and burst in the process.  Grrrrrrrr……………….

Oh……………  and another thing…………………  Walking through 'Tehidy Woods', we spotted a plastic bag half full of bread hanging on a tree?!!  That’s almost as bad as people who hang doggie poo bags from trees.  Just what is the point of that?  Is the ‘plastic bag bread hanger’ expecting birds to fly in for a quick snack?
Ann said, ‘Molly, lets walk past this quickly.  There’s probably big, fat, rats about.’  Well, I’ve never, ever seen a big, fat, rat.  And they sound like good things for chasing.  So I dawdled past but I didn’t see any big, fat rats.  And then I had to run to catch Ann up because by this time she was miles in front of me because she didn’t want to run the risk of seeing a big, fat rat?!!  But honestly?!!!  Hanging plastic bags full of bread on trees???  Grrrrrr........................

OK – RANT over.

And if anyone wants to see anymore lovely daffodil photos head over to the STAR website and then click on the Facebook link.

Happy Sunday Evening Blippers.
