So gorgeous...

I got up early today and was in Formby by about 8.45am...I had meant to get there even earlier, next time I will get up when I meant to! 

Still,gorgeous red squirrels in the sunshine, a few times I had one next to my foot. Then off to Martin Mere and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the last of the whoopers and found that it's easier to take a photo when there are not so many of them! Also saw avocets, black tailed godwits, ruff, pintail and shelduck... Then there were the mating goldeneyes, what a saga/long drawn out process that is!...A lovely day in the sunshine :)
