The Custard Factory

We went today to Digbeth in Birmingham to see the old Custard Factory and all the amazing graffiti that has decorated the walls and disused buildings in this area of Birmingham.
A blue plaque says 
 Alfred Bird 1811-1878
 Chemist and Druggist
 Inventor of eggless custard powder
 and baking powder
 made on this site until 1963
It is now a vibrant area of office space, flats and creative design.
