If you want to contribute to an amelioration of the pollution currently smothering Paris, you can always rent one of these little electric beasts attached by cable to a recharging borne at the kerbside. You have to register to be able to take one. Some of them are indistinguishable from their gas-guzzling cousins. But to take this one out in the dog-eat-dog Parisian traffic I think you would have to be slightly mad.
