Dowalton loch

Its not a loch any longer but was drained last century. The rain we've had is doing it's best to turn it back into one !! It was a large loch and the mounds you can see were part of the stronghold of the
 Mac Dowal's. Long ago there were crannogs on this loch and I am fortunate that my wee house looks out on this lovely vista.
