Thank you for all your very kind comments and stars for yesterday's Widgeon that are very much appreciated.  I'm sorry I haven't been able to reply to you all individually. 

It was  beautiful morning after a hard overnight frost, but by lunchtime the day had changed completely.  We took the easy option and picked these violas from the garden as they are so delicate and their markings are so pretty.
